During the event, we learned about the regulatory evolution of medical devices in Europe, deepening the key changes that have taken place between the previous regulation (MDD) and the current regulation (MDR), which aims to ensure the quality, safety and performance of devices placed on the European Union market, in order to achieve an increasing level of protection for patients and their health. New features include the importance of clinical investigations to demonstrate the benefit and safety of a medical device for placing on the market.

Equally important is the subject of the subjective studies in order to confirm, in a real world context, the safety and acceptability of the risk-benefit balance of the device throughout its life cycle.
